The winner of the Prize will develop their play with Papatango over several months, building towards a four week run in London followed by a national tour in October and November 2020, a 10% royalty of the gross box office, publication and a £6500 commission plus support for a new play.

The International Radio Playwriting Competition 2020 - from the BBC World Service and British Council in partnership with Commonwealth Writers - is an opportunity for writers from outside the UK to tell their stories. It is open to new and established writers who live outside the UK and are aged over 18 on 31 January 2020.
