What are weather fronts?

You'll often see weather fronts appearing on our weather maps as black lines with red semicircles or blue triangles.

Fronts represent the boundary between cold and warm air and can give us clues about what sort of weather we can expect.

Weather fronts can provide photographers with the best opportunity to take stunning sunrise and sunset photos.
