Sunday evening, shallow lows will be centred 1004 Bristol Channel, and 1008 south of Iceland, with a weak ridge extending northeast from the Azores high, north of Britain and Ireland, towards the Scandinavian High. Into Monday cyclonic conditions become established across the North Sea, UK, and continental Europe as a ridge of high pressure to the west extends north and northeast from the Azores towards Iceland. The ridge of high pressure sinks gradually southeast across northern UK Tuesday and into Wednesday, but cyclonic conditions persist to the south east. Locally strong winds are possible in the Dover Strait on Monday, easing by Tuesday. Strong winds will develop in the west of Niton from early Monday, strengthening to near gale for a time, but making little progress east. These are then expected to ease everywhere but FitzRoy by late Tuesday, then are likely to become very localised during Wednesday

Strong winds are expected more widely across northern Cullercoats Tuesday and early Wednesday, perhaps briefly strengthening to near gale in the far north, then easing everywhere but Norwegian coastal areas Wednesday

Strong winds will develop in the south west of Niton from early Monday, strengthening to near gale for a time, but making little progress east. Strong winds also possible Fair Isle early Tuesday. These are then expected to ease by late Tuesday with only localised strong winds in Portpatrick on Wednesday
