My son Stanley, ten, listened to Simon Mole's step-by-step guide to writing a poem about a train journey. Brilliant! Stan wrote a few words and ideas at the various 'pause' moments, then I cut up the words and phrases, mixed them up and asked him to try and come up with a poem. For a boy who finds it hard to focus for any length of time, he found this surprisingly amusing and fun, even posing for photos. A positive poetry session - hurrah! Thanks Simon :)
