KS1 Music: Instruments Together - 2. Blow, blow, blow

The song explores wind instruments and introduces weather sounds, mouth sounds, panpipes, whistles, recorders and trumpets.

2. Blow, blow, blow

Focus:

  • Finding out about wind instruments and how they work
  • Smooth, gentle singing
  • Up and down (melody)

You will need:

Classroom wind-instruments (eg recorders, penny-whistles, pan-pipes, harmonicas), plus a sports whistle and some drinking straws.

Before listening:

  • Think about how we breathe and blow.
