Why is core stability important in surfing?
Pro surfer Keshia Eyre describes her progress in the world of surfing and how working on her core stability can improve her performance. We join her at the beach where she talks about the world of surfing and explains how her key focus is to develop a new move called a snap that will score her more points in competitions. We see her training to improve her core strength and master the move.
Students could be encouraged to discuss funding for participation purposed and the stress of competition. Students could also evaluate core stability and balance as a key component of fitness.
