Science KS1 / KS2: How can we protect plants and nature?

An entertaining overview of some of the ways we can help to protect plants and nature.

This film looks at ecology, nature reserves and conservation, while also refreshing some of the topics covered in the rest of the series.

This is from the series: Ivy's Plant Shop

Teacher Notes

You could ask your pupils to come up with a list of things that humans do that have both a positive and negative impact on the environment.

For example: pollution, littering, deforestation, animal conservation, growing vegetables.

They could then make a poster highlighting the things the school can do to protect plants and nature.

Curriculum Notes

This film will be relevant for teaching Science/Biology at Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in England, Wales and Early and 1st and 2nd Level in Scotland.

Also at Foundation, KS1 and KS2 in Northern Ireland.
