Religious Studies KS3: S is for Saints
Saints are people who led holy lives and were granted a special place in the heavens as a result.
But what does it take to become a saint? This short animated film introduces pupils to the remarkable lives of a few saints, and details the significance that these figures have across Christianity and, in particular, in Roman Catholicism.
This is from the series: A-Z of Religion and Beliefs
You could ask your pupils about the criteria that need to be satisfied to become a saint.
You could also ask pupils about the lives of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Julian of Norwich.
This short film will be relevant for teaching KS3 Religious Studies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 3rd and 4th Level Religious and Moral Education in Scotland.
