Design and Technology KS2: Dengineers

A children's DIY television series hosted by Lauren Layfield and Joe Tracini which gives children the dens of their dreams.

Building each den is a real team effort, so with the help of expert designers and builders the Dengineers team create extraordinary structures - from a den with an eco-friendly water wheel to a castle den with a real life drawbridge. Sometimes there’s a design challenge to overcome along the way, but that won’t stop the team as they apply science and technology to solve the problems.

  • Find out how angles can help snow proof a den
  • Learn how a barrel and chain can pull a perfect drawbridge
  • Discover how to create a 360 degree revolving roof

These clips are from the BBC series, The Dengineers.

Suitable for: KS2 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland and 1st and 2nd level in Scotland.
