EYFS / KS1 Music: Composing melodies

This activity is based on composing melodies with a class.

The game, composing melodies, is an activity that gets the class to compose music together.

This activity will help children understand that different combinations of notes in a melody can conjure up certain feelings and moods.

Curriculum notes

These clips are suitable for teaching music at EYFS and Key Stage 1 in England, Foundation in Wales, Early Years and Foundation KS1 in Northern Ireland and Early and First Level in Scotland.
