Andy's Animal Raps: The Rainforest

Andy Day sings a song about the rainforests of the world and the animals that occupy them.

CBeebies presenter Andy Day brings reggae to the rainforest as he sings about the weather and some of the animals in the depths of tropical climates.

Rainforests are dense jungle environments, home to some of the world's most endangered species of animals and plants.

We depend on rainforests to maintain a supply of fresh water and a substantial amount of natural medicines.

This song is performed in a dub style, a genre of popular music that has roots in reggae, from 1960s Jamaica.

It carries the characteristics of reggae through the off beat electric guitar chords on beats 2 and 4, and a dominant bass guitar line.
