Britain fifth as Germany win world four-man bobsleigh title

Britain finished fifth in the four-man bobsleigh at the World Championships as Germany took the top two spots.

The British quartet of Lamin Deen, Ben Simons, Bruce Tasker and Andrew Matthews were half a second outside the medals and behind a third German team.

Deen's team were fifth overnight after two runs and maintained their position.

Max Arndt, who piloted the winning bob, completed the four runs in Winterberg 0.02 seconds ahead of their compatriots, with Latvia taking bronze.
