Jade Jones capped a fine week in Mexico by being named the inaugural World Taekwondo Female Player of the Year.
A day after winning her first World Taekwondo Grand Prix title, the 21-year-old was honoured by her peers.
"It's an amazing honour and I'm so grateful to all those who voted for me, I'm overwhelmed," said Jones.
"To be recognised by athletes, coaches and officials in this way is very special. It makes me want to work even harder now."
The Korean double world champion Dae Hoon Lee was named Male Athlete of the Year in a category which saw Britain's Aaron Cook nominated.
And there was further recognition for Britain, who were one of three nominees for the national association of the year award, won by the Mexican Taekwondo Federation.
