GB's Sharp impresses in triathlon opener

Olympic silver medallist Javier Gomez wins the World Triathlon series opener, while Britain's Matt Sharp finishes in fifth place.

The race in Auckland, New Zealand was dominated by the Spaniard but Sharp, who was under-23 world champion in 2011, held his own amongst the lead pack.

Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee and his brother Jonny, who is the defending world champion, did not compete in the season opener, but they will be back for the next event in San Diego on 19 April.
