The Channel Islands' men's tennis team have won promotion to Division Five of the LTA's Winter County Cup.
The island side topped Division Six B of the event in Sheffield after beating Cumbria and Shropshire 8-1, before losing 5-4 to Cornwall.
All 44 of the LTA's county sides are represented in the annual tournament.
"It's very pleasing to get promoted and we're looking forward to the same event next year already," team member Rob West told BBC Radio Guernsey.
And West says there is no reason why the Channel Islands cannot establish themselves at a higher level in the event.
"We've been up in Division Five before," he continued. "It's just one of those events that's once a year, it's only a three-day event, so it's really important for us next year to get the strongest team out that we can.
"In previous years we've got promoted and then gone straight back down because some of our strongest players have been unavailable.
"We want to now try and reinforce our position there and not yo-yo between divisions five and six."
West added: "I'm of the feeling that if we can get our strongest team out next year, there's absolutely no reason why we can't even get promoted again."
The Channel Islands' women's team lost all three of their matches at the same level and finished bottom of Division Six B.
