Federer thrilled with form in early win

Roger Federer says he "could not play much better" after sweeping aside Victor Hanescu in straight sets to win 6-3 6-2 6-0 in his first-round match at Wimbledon.

The Swiss got the defence of his men's singles title off to a smooth start, winning in just one hour and nine minutes on Centre Court causing the commentators to joke that he could save money on his laundry bill by wearing the same shirt in the next round.

The number three seed will take on Ukrainian Serhiy Stakhovsky in the second round.
