Andy Murray moved into the semi-finals of the Aegon Championships at Queen's after Marin Cilic pulled out of Friday's quarter-final match with a knee injury without a ball being hit.
Scotland's second seed and world number four Murray was due out on Court One before Cilic pulled out only minutes before the start of the match.
Murray will now face Andy Roddick for a place in the final.
Four-time Queen's winner Roddick eased past Fernando Verdasco 6-2 6-2.
The American third seed, who has looked in increasingly good form the longer the tournament has gone on at Queen's, overcame a rain delay at 6-2 3-1 to cruise into the semi-finals.
And with his serve and forehand working nicely, Roddick is feeling confident ahead of Saturday's last four match with Murray.
"I enjoy playing on this surface and I enjoy playing here," he said. "And now my first rain delay is out of the way, the summer really has started!"
Murray, who is suffering from ankle problems sustained at the French Open, will have an extra day's rest before the semi-final.
The 24-year-old looked to be feeling the ankle injury during a on Wednesday, but looked far more comfortable in Thursday's win over Janko Tipsarevic that booked his place in the last eight.
"I would have rather played and got another match on the grass," he said. "[But] it wasn't to be. I just have to take this day as a rest day, which in some ways is probably a good thing."
As for his semi-final with Roddick, Murray said: "Obviously it's a tough match. He plays very well on grass. It's his best surface, I think.
"I have to play well to win against him. He obviously serves very well, so it will be important for me to serve well myself and not give him too many opportunities."
Murray is targeting his second title at Queen's having won in 2009.
