Plymouth Devils suffered a 52-43 defeat to Berwick, their second league loss at the St Boniface Arena this season.
In a meeting that the Devils never led, only Ben Barker (18) and Rasmus Jensen (13) managed heat wins for the hosts.
Plymouth were also accountable for 12 last places from the 15 races.
Berwick led by 10 after five races and although the Devils got back to within seven following Jensen's tactical win in heat 11, the visitors held on for maximum league points.
After a drawn opening heat, Berwick took control of the meeting with the impressive Dane Steen Jensen winning heats two and four on what was his first visit to the Plymouth circuit.
The Devils drew a couple of heats but only managed two heat advantages all night against the fast-gating Bandits.
The defeat means Plymouth have lost two of their opening four home league matches and sit ninth, while Berwick remain unbeaten from their four league fixtures and climb to third.
