Swindon Robins have signed Sweden's Simon Gustafsson for the 2014 Elite League season.
The 23-year-old joins the Robins on loan from Eastbourne, where he has spent the last six campaigns.
"I have always liked Simon as a rider," team manager Alun Rossiter told the club website.
"He's had some good meetings at Swindon and I just feel his career has maybe stalled a bit of late, and I think Eastbourne would agree with that too."
Rossiter continued: "I know he struggled for a time last season, but Trevor (Geer) told me he invested in some new engines later in the year and he did begin to turn things around.
"I believe there's bags of potential and improvement in Simon, and as a manager and promoter I'm always looking for riders who are going to improve."
Gustafsson joins Troy Batchelor, Peter Kildemand, Nick Morris, Steve Worrall and Josh Bates in the Swindon team for next season.
