Speedway: Alun Rossiter promises more from Swindon Robins

Manager Alun Rossiter says Swindon Robins have not yet reached their full potential despite winning all five of their opening Elite League fixtures.

The champions are second in the table, two points behind Wolverhampton with two meetings in hand.

"We've got some riders who haven't reached top form yet. It shows we've got great strength in depth.

"There is much more to come from this side. Hopefully that will worry everyone else," he told BBC Wiltshire.

The Robins have so far claimed double-header victories against Lakeside and Peterborough, and also edged past Birmingham Brummies.

They welcome seventh-place Eastbourne to Blunsdon on Thursday and although Swindon sit 11 points above their opponents, Rossiter is still wary of an upset.

"With the way we're going you'd think it would be an easy match but we never underestimate anybody," he added.

"On a fair track like Swindon's everyone will get round there. On our current form most would say we shouldn't be worried but we certainly won't be taking them for granted."
