Defending champion John Higgins is out of the International Championship in China after losing to Ding Junhui.

Ding, the only Chinese player left in the richest tournament outside the UK, eased to a 6-2 quarter-final victory.

The home favourite next faces Judd Trump, who beat fellow Englishman Shaun Murphy 6-5 on the final black.

World number one Mark Selby beat Joe Perry 6-3 and Stuart Bingham won 6-5 against against Michael Holt, who beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the last round.
