Mark Allen loses to Ronnie O'Sullivan at European Masters
Northern Ireland's Mark Allen was beaten 4-2 by five times world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan at the European Masters in Bucharest on Wednesday
Thirty-year-old Allen took the opening frame in the best-of-seven last 16 match with a break of 121.
O'Sullivan, 40, responded by winning the next two before Allen squared the contest at 2-2.
Breaks of 77 and 80 saw O'Sullivan clinch the match and progress to the quarter-finals.
In the previous round Antrim man Allen had beaten English amateur Daniel Womersley 4-0.
