White Nights tournament is over for Susan Egelstaff

Egelstaff was second seed in Gatchina

Susan Egelstaff met with defeat in the semi-finals of the White Nights tournament in Russia.

The 28-year-old defeated Slovenian seventh seed Maja Tvrdy 21-7 21-15 in the quarter-finals in Gatchina.

But the six-time Scottish champion lost out to eventual winner Fransiska Ratnasari of Indonesia 21-15 21-17 in the semi-final.

Fellow Scot Alistair Casey will be in action at the Yonex US Open on Monday where he faces Taiwan's Hsuan Yi Hsueh.
