Guernsey Raiders moved into the top five of National Three London after a 39-30 win over Shelford at Footes Lane.

Two tries from Luke Sayer and scores from Sam Steventon, Nick Merrien and Luke Jones saw the Green and Whites open up a 36-13 lead at half-time.

Shelford hit back after the break with three tries, while Guernsey's Sayer and Romain Mercadel were sin-binned.

The win sees the Raiders leapfrog Shelford into fifth place, nine points behind fourth-placed Westcombe Park.
