Guernsey Raiders boss delighted with winning end to 2016
Guernsey Raiders boss Jordan Reynolds says his side can be pleased with how they have finished 2016.
The island side beat Chichester 25-18 to end the year in sixth place in National Three London.
"They really deserved that win and it's great to finish on a big note heading into Christmas," Reynolds said.
"It's had its ups and downs and the four games that we lost in a row is something we'd like to rectify in the second half of the season."
Guernsey have won three of their last four matches after that losing streak and host third-placed Westcombe Park in their first game of 2017.
"This was game one of the second round and we've got that first win so it's building from there," he told BBC Radio Guernsey
"I'm pleased with the way that the boys are developing at the moment, there's good cohesion between them all and the satisfying factor for us is that they're happy playing the brand of rugby that we're trying to produce and that's all we can ask for."
