Scarlets boss Wayne Pivac is "optimistic" Jonathan Davies will return from a hamstring injury when they host Toulon in the European Champions Cup on Sunday.
Wales centre Davies missed their defeat when the two sides met last weekend.
The midfielder's progress will be monitored on Thursday and Friday.
His brother, flanker James Davies, could be absent after being cited for allegedly using a gesture and swearing at referee Greg Garner in Toulon.
Pivac said punishment covered "all sorts of things right up to dismissal" for the Rio Olympics Sevens silver medallist.
New Zealander Pivac said that Jonathan Davies will have a couple of runs in training on Wednesday, adding: "If he comes through that, then he'll train again on Friday, in which case he'd be available for selection.
"We're optimistic that he'll be ok."
