Jersey Reds: London Irish bonus point hailed by head coach Harvey Biljon
Jersey Reds head coach Harvey Biljon has praised his side's efforts after earning a losing bonus point at Championship leaders London Irish.
The islanders have numerous injuries, with nine of their 15 backs out as well as a number of their pack.
"Let's recognise that one point. They've got the best defence in the league and we've gone and scored four tries against them," Biljon said.
"From that point of view we can be really proud of ourselves."
Despite the bonus point, financially-troubled Jersey slipped to second-from-bottom of the league after London Scottish's win at Bedford.
"Imagine how good we're going to be when we can train with a full squad and replicate those match scenarios," added Biljon, whose side also got two bonus points at second-placed Yorkshire Carnegie last month.
"At the moment we can't do that with the injuries that we've got. The guys are working hard, they represented the island really well again and they're coming together as a group."
