Jersey Reds have signed former Ulster fly-half James McKinney and added Wasps centre Conor Dolan on loan.

The cash-strapped Reds, who were recently forced to sell their ground just to keep afloat, have been hit by a series of injuries this season.

Former Ireland Under-20 back McKinney has signed a contract until the end of the season at St Peter.

Ex-England Under-18 international Dolan, who can play at centre or on the wing, has agreed a short-term loan.

"We're pretty depleted in the back line, we've got three scrum-halves and four backs, so we had to bring players in," head coach Harvey Biljon told BBC Sport.

"We've been very lucky in that we've brought in James to cover Brendan Cope for the remainder of the season.

"James is someone I've had a lot of conversations with over the last two or three seasons, so it's great to have the opportunity to work with him and I think it's a great opportunity for him to get some quality rugby."
