Ospreys wing Keelan Giles could win his first Wales cap against Japan on Saturday as interim head coach Rob Howley considers resting players.
Giles, 18, who has scored eight tries for his region this season, was added to the senior squad following an injury to Hallam Amos.
"There could be an opportunity for him," Howley said.
"If you are good enough, it doesn't matter about your age. We have shown that with other players."
Wales beat Argentina 24-20 in their second game of the autumn series and face Japan at the Principality Stadium on Saturday.
"It's important we look after our squad but we'll pick a strong side for the Japan game," Howley said.
"We respect Japan, they want to play a fast, open game so it's important we respect them and we will make changes.
"We've got a few 30-year-olds in the side that started so they might need a rest."
Wales' game against Japan will be their third of an autumn series that will conclude at home to South Africa on 26 November.
Japan, under new coach Jamie Joseph, will arrive in Wales on the back of a 28-22 win over Georgia in Tbilisi over the weekend.
