Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac believes they could have posted a bigger winning margin in gaining their first Pro12 triumph of the season.
His side climbed from 11th to eighth by beating Connacht 17-8 in Llanelli.
Scarlets had lost against Munster, Edinburgh and Ulster before seeing off the reigning champions.
"Too many mistakes, missing touch, shots at goal so we left a lot of points out there," was New Zealander Pivac's verdict.
Liam Williams touched down in each half as Scarlets' gradual domination paid off to leave Connacht as one of only two winless teams in the competition, the other being Italian side Zebre.
Pivac added: "We were a lot better than the last few weeks.
"We still made plenty of errors, but certainly got the points when we needed to, which were all important in the end.
"The stats have been good [in all games] except the one at the end of the day, which is the scoreboard.
"So it's pleasing to get that right."
Pivac was pleased his side were able to make the most of some of their chances
"We had plenty possession and territory. We had a bit more territory in the second half.
"When we were down there we made sure we were down there and finished them off so it's pleasing that we could do that."
