Lewis Hillier: Second-row named new Guernsey Raiders captain

Lewis Hillier is to become the new captain of Guernsey Raiders.

The second-row takes over form Blair Campbell who has stepped down after six seasons as skipper of the National Three London club ahead of for their first game of the season.

Sam Whitehead and Owen Thomas are taking on vice-captain roles.

"Lewis did a fair shift last year, taking on the captaincy role form Blair Campbell," head coach Jordan Reynolds told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"Those three are the top candidates on leadership alone and they've worked really hard in the summer to get where they are now."
