Ospreys flanker Olly Cracknell has signed a new contract extension which will see him stay at the region until 2018.

Cracknell's current three-year contract had one season remaining, but the 22-year-old has committed for a further season.

The former Wales Under-20 international joined Ospreys in 2014 having played for RGC 1404.

Leeds-born Cracknell qualifies for Wales through his grandfather.

"I want to continue striving to be consistent in my performance, that's something the coaches have said I need to maintain," Cracknell said.

"I've had a few good games at the end of the season but I'm still a long way off from where I want to be. I'll just get my head down and keep working."

Meanwhile Charlie Davies, Phil Jones, Will Jones, Reuben Morgan-Williams and James Ratti have signed development contracts with the region,

Prop Alex Jeffries and wing Jay Baker have also signed contracts with Ospreys.
