Redruth boss Steve Larkins praised his side's first half display as they overcame poor weather conditions to secure victory over Old Elthamians.

Despite playing in a gale, the Reds raced into a 29-3 lead by the end of the first 40 minutes and scored an impressive five tries in the match.

"The first half was unbelievable," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We said against that howler of a wind we couldn't really kick it so we went out there to run it from everywhere."

He added: "The message in the first half was just to keep doing exactly the same - keep offloading, keep running and keep that enthusiasm to go and score from wherever we were on the pitch."

Redruth stay fifth in the National Two South table after their win.
