Uruguay have named a 31-man squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup that does not contain any player with previous experience of the tournament.

Lock Santiago Vilaseca, 30, captains the squad and is one of 26 home-based players named by coach Pablo Lemoine.

Uruguay are in a World Cup pool alongside Wales - who they open their campaign against on 20 September in Cardiff - England, Australia and Fiji.

Four players in the squad play professionally in Europe.

The quartet are Felipe Berchesi (Carcassonne, France Pro2), Agustin Ormaechea (Stade Montois, France Pro2), Mario Sagario (Massy, France Pro2) and Gaston Mieres (Valpollicella, Italy Serie A).
