Bristol flanker Josh Ovens has signed new one-year contract after a string of impressive performances.
The 25-year-old rejoined Bristol from Bath in the summer and has scored three tries in nine first-team appearances.
"I am grateful to Andy [Robinson] and the coaching staff for supporting me through a tough period of my career," Ovens said.
"Now, I just want to focus on playing well for Bristol and I'm ready to contribute during the promotion push."
Ovens had previously been sent on a season-long loan to the Championship side during the 2011/12 campaign, during which he made 21 appearances.
Director of rugby Robinson added that he was pleased Ovens had chosen to sign a new deal.
"Some of the best rugby of Josh's career has come in a Bristol shirt and after a lengthy injury lay-off, he is showing signs of getting back to his best," Robinson said.
"It's a testament to Josh's desire and professionalism that he's seized his opportunity."
