Henry Cavill: Superman actor to attend Jersey rugby match
Superman actor Henry Cavill is to attend the annual rugby union match between Jersey and Guernsey next month.
Cavill, who was born in Jersey, is a keen supporter of the island side who play in the Championship, the second tier of English rugby.
The two islands which is one of the oldest trophies in world rugby.
"You'll find me about the grounds and clubhouse throughout the day, hopefully with a pint in hand," said Cavill.
It is doubtful whether the professional Jersey outfit will need the Man of Steel's help, having beaten amateur side Guernsey every year since 2008.
They have only conceded three tries in their last five games against their rivals, who play in National Three London and South East, three divisions below Jersey.
