Redruth 18-8 Launceston

Redruth won the second National 2 South Cornish rugby derby of the season with victory over Launceston.

The Reds swept into an early 6-0 lead with two Murray Westren penalties, but Tim Mathias crossed for Launceston to make it 6-5 at half-time.

Tom Notman's try extended Redruth's lead only for Keiran Lewitt to cut it to three points with a penalty.

But Redruth clinched victory when they were awarded a penalty try in the last five minutes which Westren converted.

Redruth's 18-8 victory, sees them avenge their 30 points to 10 defeat at Launceston in September.
