Six Nations: Jackson joins Scotland squad for France clash

Ruaridh Jackson

Glasgow Warriors stand-off Ruaridh Jackson has been added to Scotland's Six Nations squad.

Jackson missed Scotland's opening two fixtures but has returned to action following a hamstring injury in the Warriors' last two matches.

Greig Laidlaw replaced Dan Parks at stand-off for the defeat by Wales after the latter retired from international rugby in the wake of losing to England.

Scotland take on France at Murrayfield this Sunday (1500 GMT).

Wing Max Evans and lock forward Jim Hamilton were unable to train when the squad gathered at Murrayfield on Monday.

Evans is continuing his rehabilitation after suffering an ankle injury in Cardiff, while Hamilton has a throat infection.

Sale forward Richie Vernon and Gloucester's Scott Lawson are receiving treatment on an ankle problem and a dead leg respectively, but prop Ed Kalman has resumed training following a neck injury.

Head coach Andy Robinson will name his line-up for the French encounter on Wednesday.
