Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill is happy with the progress being made by his side as they near the start of the new season.
Tigers ran in five tries to crush Lyon 38-3 at Welford Road on Saturday.
Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester: "We scored some nice tries. There was lots to pick the bones out of and improve on, as well as some good bits.
"There are no injuries which is key. Preparations are not perfect but pretty good. It's starting to build slowly."
Cockerill added: "We are not really renowned for being great in friendlies and games that don't matter but that was pretty good.
"It was important to get a win and get some momentum going into the season."
Leicester face Nottingham in their final pre-season friendly at Meadow Lane on Friday.
The new domestic season gets under way on 3 September with a home fixture against Exeter Chiefs.
