Harlequins have signed prop forward Tim Fairbrother from Australian Super 15 side Western Force.
The 29-year-old former New Zealand Under-21 international will joins Quins at the end of the season.
"Tim is exactly the sort of player we have been looking to bring in," said director of rugby Conor O'Shea.
"We are happy with the squad we have but were also conscious that we needed to add experience to complement the young players we have in our squad."
Although he has represented the All Blacks at age-group level, Fairbrother is eligible to play for England and Australia.
"I am really looking forward to coming over and joining Quins," he said.
"It is an amazing squad, with a good mix of young and experienced players.
"I am also looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Premiership."
