St Helens scrum-half Luke Walsh has taken up the third year option on his contract, taking him until the end of the 2016 Super League season.
The 28-year-old started his career at Newcastle Knights and moved to Saints in 2014 from Penrith Panthers.
He impressed in his first season before he broke his fibula and tore ankle ligaments in a match against Widnes that kept him out for nine months.
"It was an easy decision to make," he told the club website.
"The club and the fans have been great to me especially after the injury and it felt like the right thing to do - I now want to win things."
The Australian half-back says he hopes to be back 'in the next week or so' after ankle surgery last month.
