Warrington Wolves stunned Leeds Rhinos at Headingley to beat the Super League leaders for a second time this season.

Gene Ormsby, Joel Monaghan and Ashton Sims all crossed as the visitors dominated the play in the first half.

Kallum Watkins scored just before half-time for Leeds, but Ben Currie and Roy Asotasi added further Wolves tries after the break to extend their lead.

Mitch Achurch crossed for the hosts' second score, before Declan Patton's drop goal secured Warrington's win.

Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield made his 500th appearance for the club but it was a night to forget for the hosts.

Warrington, who ended Leeds' 100% Super League record last month, brought an end to the Rhinos' 100% home record in fine fashion.

Wolves went ahead when Currie's delicate grubber kick found Ormsby running in to touch over, but Stefan Ratchford could not add the extras.

Monaghan went over in the corner to extend Wolves' lead, before Sims powered through to put them further ahead, with Ratchford converting both.

Watkins' score two minutes before the break gave the hosts hope of a second-half comeback, but Currie finished off a wonderful Wolves try to restore their advantage.

Asotasi went over to further extend Wolves' lead, with Ratchford sending over his fourth successful kick, before Achurch ran in what proved to be a consolation for Leeds.

Patton added a drop goal for the visitors late on as Warrington move up to fifth in Super League.
