Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have signed former Hull FC half-back Jacob Miller on a one-year deal.
Miller, 22, who will join the Wildcats on 1 December, played 20 Super League games for the Black and Whites before being released earlier this month.
"I was over the moon when I found out there was an opportunity here," he told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I didn't have the best time at Hull so I suppose you could say I have a point to prove."
Wakefield finished 12th in Super League last season, one place and one point below Hull FC.
Miller added: "It was disappointing how things went for me at Hull but that is the world we live in and you just have to move on.
"I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and getting into a routine."
