Hull FC captain Andy Lynch has signed a one-year contract extension, lasting until the end of 2014.
The deal means the 32-year-old prop is likely to see out his playing career at the KC Stadium.
The former Bradford Bulls forward joined the Black and Whites this season and has been an ever-present.
"I have loved every minute so far and I can't think of a better place to finish my career, hopefully with a few successful years," said Lynch.
"We're not only building a competitive squad with some quality players and professionals, we're building an entire new club and culture and it's an exciting change to be part of."
Hull coach Peter Gentle added: "Andy epitomises the type of player we want at this club.
"He is hard working, committed, professional and understands the role he needs to play at training, during games and within the rugby league community.
"However, the core reason for offering Andy an extension was his tremendous performances week-in, week-out.
"He has started his career with Hull FC in fine style and, despite playing long minutes for us, he's still producing the goods."
