Bradford have signed Tongan Manase Manuokafoa, 26, on a one-year contract from Australian side Parramatta Eels.

The 6ft 5in prop, who weighs 17st 11lb, who represented Tonga in the 2008 World Cup, has also had spells with South Sydney and North Queensland Cowboys.

"He's a player who's been on our coach Mick Potter's radar," said Bulls football manager Stuart Duffy.

"Mick's time in Australia has enabled him to meet with the player and complete the deal," he added.

"He has played nearly 90 games in the NRL and we think he will adjust well to the British game.

"He is a great addition to our squad for next season and offers us something different in that he is big and powerful but with a great offload to his game.

"His ability to get quick play the balls will also enhance our forward pack greatly and we are certainly looking forward to having him on board for 2012."

After three Grand Final wins under Brian Noble between 2001 and 2005, Bradford have now finished outside the Super League's top eight three seasons running.

And, for the second season running, coach Potter has orchestrated a big turnaround in players at Odsal.
