Wales will face Ireland as part of their preparations for this autumn's Four Nations Tournament.

Iestyn Harris's side will face Ireland at the Gnoll in Neath on Saturday 22 October prior to their debut appearance in the Four Nations.

The Ireland game will be staged a week before Wales face England in their opening match of the tournament.

"Ireland are never easy opponents and will provide a stern test for us," said Harris.

"Ireland will be determined to prove a point and this game will give us the chance to run the rule over the team to make sure we get our selection spot on for England."

After the opening match against England in Leigh on 29 October, Wales will face New Zealand at Wembley on 5 November

They host Australia at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground a week later with the Four Nations final at Elland Road on 19 November.

Wales secured their place in the Four Nations tournament after winning last year's European Cup, with Ireland among the teams they defeated.
