Cumbria coach Chris Wright has hailed the togetherness between the players after an unbeaten second round of the Rugby League Nines at Warrington.
The side, assembled from Workington and Whitehaven squads, beat Huddersfield and Widnes, and drew with the hosts to move second behind Wigan in the group.
"A lot of players didn't know each other," Wright told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"They've responded in the Cumbria shirt, played together brilliantly as a 13 and we couldn't ask any more."
The next round of fixtures for Cumbria take place at Salford's Willows stadium on 21 June.
