Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown has been charged by the Rugby Football League with breaking their rules after his criticism of referee Ben Thaler following their 38-6 win over Leeds.
The 37-year-old Australian said he would encourage his players to take action themselves if referees did not protect them in the future.
He has until 19 May to appeal.
Hull FC coach Richard Agar was fined a record £6,000 last week for criticising referee James Child.
Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington had expressed his surprise over the RFL not taking action. And Giants managing director Richard Thewlis said: "Having read Mr Hetherington's comments, lo and behold three days later our coach is charged with minor misconduct."
But the RFL says the delay was because of the heavy Easter fixture list and dealing with the Agar situation.
