Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott is hopeful that stand-off Danny McGuire's latest injury lay-off does not prove a lengthy one.
"We are hoping it is a quad strain, which could mean one to two weeks on the sidelines," said McDermott.
"However, if it is a tear, it could be five or six weeks."
McDermott is sweating too on reports on Brent Webb and Chris Clarkson, who were also hurt in Saturday's Challenge Cup win against Crusaders at Headingley.
"The good news on Chris Clarkson is that he has a badly bruised bone on his ankle and it is not a fracture," said McDermott.
"Brent Webb has a dead leg and we hope the injury hasn't caused too much damage.
"Ryan Hall had a similar injury against Featherstone in pre-season and we feared he would be out for weeks but was back the next week to play Crusaders."
England international McGuire was only in his third game back since returning from knee surgery which caused him to miss the first two months of the season after being injured in last September's play-off win over Wigan.
