Rio Olympics 2016: Elena Allen frustrated after skeet elimination
Welsh shooter Elena Allen missed out on a place in the Olympic skeet finals after finishing 14th in qualification.
Great Britain team-mate Amber Hill finished fifth to secure her place in the final but there was disappointment for Allen in her third Games.
The 44-year-old Commonwealth Games silver medallist cursed the tricky conditions as the wind picked up in Rio.
"I feel I was a bit unlucky on the second round," Allen said.
"There was a period when the wind got up and I happened to be shooting in that wind.
"These things happen but you work very hard. We've put a lot into it."
Despite her disappointment at failing to reach the final, Moscow-born Allen insisted she would continue.
"I'm certainly not going to give up. I've no desire to do so," added Abercarn-based Allen.
"I'm shooting at my best and why would I give up? Of course I will continue."
